The Myth Of Equality | Is It A Moral Responsibility To Think About Privilege? By Ken Wystma

Ken Wystma is part of a fun experiment exploring what a classical education in college means for Christian Discipleship. This is a video of his talk based on this experiment and on his book The Myth of Equality. What does it mean to look at issues by taking account of God first and then looking at it theologically. He wrestles with race and privilege from this perspective.

Lead-in quote from his book is by a well-known theologian. "If God made this world why should it be a surprise that the things we believe about God connect us to the world?"

The Center for Applied Christian Ethics of Wheaton College welcomed Ken Wytsma on Wednesday, March 28th 2018 to lecture on the topic of The Myth of Equality: It’s Time for the Church to Overcome Resistance to Questions on Race. Ken’s book The Myth of Equality. Uncovering the Roots of Injustice and Privilege was named to Publisher’s Weekly Top 5 Religion Books of the Year in 2017.
