Intersectional Invisibility
Description
An account of the resource
The Intersectional Invisibility Collection brings together narratives and research from around the world about marginalization, discrimination, and oppression of people at the intersections and margins of society. Individuals and groups often have shared or overlapping interests and characteristics beyond race or ethnicity such as class, gender, age, etc. Often those who are oppressed, marginalized and discriminated are at the intersection of gender, class, age, and race/ethnicity. It may be difficult to find out which kind of discrimination they suffer; besides racism, they may be victims of ageism, classism, genderism, sexism, and more.
